KIDS & TEENS
We are very excited to offer classes for youth ages 4-15. See details below about how we break up the age groups for our youth!
All of our class offerings are great choices for self defense, confidence building and anti bullying. Both BJJ and MMA build practical skills among peers and provide a safe and healthy space for the rough and tumble outlet youth crave. Our youth have various goals when they come on the mats. There is no expectation for them to participate in competition, but we do have members entering into BJJ competitions. Please let the coaches know if this is of interest to you so we can appropriately support your youth in their goals.
Our kids and teen coaches are active members/coaches on our adult classes, consistently improving their skill in BJJ/MMA and leading by example with their outstanding sportsmanship.

KIDS (4-6)
Our youngest kids classes include Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Gi (in uniform) twice a week for 30 minutes with Coach Patt and Rhiley. BJJ is a form of submission wrestling that takes place mostly on the ground. Our youngest bracket is focused solely on introduction to fundamentals and games based learning to prepare kids for the next level.
KIDS (7-11)
Our kids classes include Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Gi (in uniform) twice a week for 45 minutes with Coach Patt and Rhiley. BJJ is a form of submission wrestling that takes place mostly on the ground. With Gi BJJ kids can work through the youth BJJ belting system. Advancement in BJJ is excellent for self defence and gives youth opportunity for competition if that is in their goals.
Additionally, we offer kids Mixed Martial Arts once a week. In MMA elements of BJJ are tied together with basic striking (boxing/kickboxing/Muay Thai) to explore more collaborative combat and realism in terms of self defense.
TEENS (11-15 yrs)
Our teen classes include Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Gi (in uniform), no - gi, and Teen MMA.
Teen BJJ runs with Coach Rob in Gi and No-Gi with Coach Joel. BJJ is a form of submission wrestling that takes place mostly on the ground. With Gi BJJ teens can work through the youth BJJ belting system. Advancement in BJJ also gives teens opportunity for attending BJJ competitions if this is a goal for them.
Teen Mixed Martial Arts runs with Coach Steve. In MMA aspects of both BJJ and elements of boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai are tied together to take skillsets a step further into more collaborative combat sport theory.
